Aren’t words a goddamn joy?
I mean: poems are nothing but words infinitely diverse, in infinite combinations. In English, in Thai, in Mandarin, in Welsh. But how often do we slow down and really savor that the word nightjar exists? Or blather. Nebula. Peaches. They. Chaff. Crow. Zither.
Today’s poetry prompt is all about embracing the wonder and matter of words—those we know, and those we don’t yet.
